Chapter 16

After this run in with the nuns Holden goes on a walk and reflects what just happened. He seems amazed by how nice and generous these women were. Then he starts thinking about his little sister to who he believe is an amazing girl eventhough she is still so young. He decides to buy her a children's record of a black women singing. Holden loves talking to her because she always understands where he's coming from and what he's trying to say. He walks by a little boys whose singing "if a body catch a body coming through the rye" he likes this and it raises his spirits so he decides to call jane. But her mother answered the phone so he hangs up quick. He goes and buys movies tickets for his date this Sally. He really misses he sister and goes to the park to see if she's there skating. She isnt so he asks a kid who think she might have gone to the museum on a field trip that day. She Holden walks there next. When he sees it he remember his youth and taking trips there. He finds it crazy how the museum always stays the same but the people visiting it always change.

I like this quote.. "The best thing, though, in that museum was that everything always stayed right where it was." It's so very true. When I think back on elementary and middle school and the school trips i've taking. I'm friends with different people now, some things about me are different, but my personaliity has pretty much stayed the same. I really hope he sees his sister soon. Its obvious how much he misses her.
