Chapter 10

Holden considered calling his sister but he didn't want his mom to pick up because she would know it was him. Holden says he's the only dumb one in the family. His sister is 10, pretty, her name is Phoebe and she just kills everybody. (67) Holden went to the hotel lobby and saw pimps and hoes, in new york money really shows. His goes to the bar area and tries to get rum in his coke, but bartender wouldn't do it. He asked a group of girls to dance and the blonde one agreed. He kept talking to her while they were dancing but she wasn't really listening to him. The girls are there to see actors and Holden says he saw one. Then kisses her on the head. when they went back Holden sat with them at their table. Holden ended up dancing with all 3 of them, but blonde was the best. They left because they were going to a show early at the radio city music hall the next day. Holden says these clubs are boring unless you can get drunk or you're with a girl that really knocks you out.

I like how he just went up to them and asked to dance. Very gutsy. Again he tries to get alcohol but doesn't succeed. I also don't understand why the blonde was ignoring him while they were dancing that seems just rude. Was she really ignoring him or were her thoughts somewhere else. What was she thinking about?
