Holden was in the phone booth for 20 minutes thinking of calling his brother, sister, sally hayes, jane, carl and more. if he called Sally Hayes and her parents answered they would tell his parents. Her mom had once said Holden was wild and had no direction in life. He got in a cab and gave him his home address. He realized it half way there and asked the driver to turn around. He asked the driver about the ducks. The driver got mad and said he didn't give a crap what happens to the ducks. Holden says he's traveling incognito and has the driver take him to the Edmond hotlel. Took off his hat so he wasn't a screwball. It was a crummy room with nothing to look at except the other side of the hotel. He was looking at the window the saw a guy putting on womens clothes and a man and woman squirting water at each other. He calls Faith Cavendish (62) she was a striper and he was feeling horny. She says its too late to meet up and trys to get him to make plans for tomorrow. But he doesn't want to. After hanging up he says.. I really messed that one up.
This was a really odd chapter.. But liked the reference to ducks again.
