Starts off listing tons of people who have came to visit Gatsby at his home during the summer. It's late July and Nick has attended two of Gatsby's parties, used his hydroplane and his beach. Gatsby takes Nick to town with him. Nick notices that Gatsby never stops either tapping his foot or clenching in some way. He asks Nick about the rumors he has heard about him(69). He then tells Nick that he is the son of a wealthy middle-east family, went to oxford, during war was promoted to a major. Gatsby brings up the talk he had with ms. baker but won't tell nick about it. He gets irritated. They are going to meet Jordan for tea. Gatsby knows that nick is getting mad and tell him sorry about that just can't talk about it right now. Nick tells him its ok I just hate mysteries. They are out for tea and talking to Mr. W who is telling Nick how Gatsby is the kind of man you would take home to meet your mother and sister. Which made me wonder if he was gay.. Gatsby comes back. Nick see's Tom from across the resturante and takes Gatsby over to meet him. When nick introduces then Gatsby disappears. Jordan is now telling the story to nick. She talks about Daisy and Gatsby and how they used to be in love. Once day Jordan walked by they were together in his car. You could tell how wild he was about her. That was in 1977. But he soon had to leave to go into the military. Daisy stopped chasing boys for a while. But on her wedding day to being married to Tom she recieved a letter. It got her very shook up and cried. She told her mom and Jordan that she wasn't going to get married. But she calmed down and got married to Tom. Years later she heard his name and made her think about him once again. Gatsby demands that Nick have Daisy over for tea. Nick puts his arm around Jordan and kisses her.
- Should he believe Gatsby's past? Seems kinda shady..
- How did Gatsby know Tom. why did he rush out?
- What was in that letter that Daisy recieved on her wedding day?
- What will come of Jordan and Nick..
