Holden ends the story by saying he won't tell after this day. He is now in California at a mental home. He says he did go home and got "sick" thats why he was sent here. He is going to a new school in the fall and is going to try and apply himself. He wishes he hadn't told this story in such great detail because it makes him miss everyone in the story.
It's finally over.. this was just the wrap up chapter tying in what he had already learned. This is where holden belongs and I'm glad he's there!
