After she leave Holden sits in his hotel room and remember a time with Allie when Allie wanted to go with him and his friends and Holden wouldn't let him go. Now he regrets this and feels awful about it. He talks about how he feels like praying and wants to pray but doesn't believe in organized religon. He hears a knock at this door and its the elevator operator and the prostitute. He is demanding another $5 eventhough she didn't do anything! Holden refuses and he snaps him in the crotch and then punches in the stomach while she takes his wallet. Holden lays on the floor and finally manages to get up into bed and falls asleep.
All holden wanted was someone to talk to and ending up getting robbed and beaten up. I feel bad for him. This is also the first time I've heard of Holden actually sleeping.
