Holden gets back in cab. New York is terriable at night. If someone laughs you can hear it for miles. It makes you feel lonely and depresssed. (81) He asks the driver about the ducks. He says how the hell should I know a stupid thing like that. Then Holden asks him if he wants to have a drink with him. The driver thinks about it for a while then says shouldn't you be sleeping? Holden talks about how school and the world are full of jerks. Holden said the driver was so touchy and sore about everything. He went to a resturante/club and ordered a scotch and soda. If you were 6 you could drink there. Ernie was playing piano and it was horriable but the crowd went mad. People always clap at the wrong times. He was sitting by a bunch of jerks and eves dropping on all their convos. (86) Lillian Sinmons came up and say him. DB used to date her.. she was now with a navy guy. You could tell no one liked her. She asked to him to join them but Holden said he had to go. So she's like ok well next time you see your brother tell him I hate him. So now Holden had to go. He hates people always ruin things for ya.

Not bad chapter. Funny how Holden can tell no one likes Lillian I feel kinda bad for her. I wonder if the Navy guy really likes her. And why would you ever want someone to say Hey I saw your ex girlfriend.. she wanted me to tell you she hates you... wow..
