Henry is referred to as "the youth" and Wilson is referred to as "the loud private." How has each character changed from the beginning of the story to now, specifically in regards to these monikers? Use specific examples from the story to support your answer.
- Well I think that they all have nicknames that discribe them. Henry is the youth because he is young, inexperienced, and cowardly. He keeps running away and won't even fight. When he does get hurt he makes up that he was shot in the head. Wilson is the loud soldier which is pretty self explanatory. He is loud, talkative, caring, and a good guy. It seems like they are referring to these characters more by there real names as the story goes on. Calling the youth, Henry and the loud soldier, Wilosn. I think as Henry comes more courageous and a bigger member of the war he won't be referred to as the unexperienced youth but as his real name. Henry says in chapter 14 that Wilson is changed he is no longer the loud soldier but now is sensitive and caring. Now he has a quiet confidence.
