Chatpter 14

Henry wakes up and thinks he is surrounded by dead bodies. He heards drums and then friend Wilson comes and is talking to him. Wilson asks how he's feeling and Henry says pretty bad his head hurt and has a pain in his stomach. Wilson watches over him and makes him meat. A fight about breaks out between two men and Wilson goes to keep the peace and then returns to Henry. Henry realizes the change in his friend. He is no longer the loud soldier but is quiet and sensitive. He now has a quiet confidence. Henry tells Wilson that their friend Jim is dead and Wilson says that 1/2 of the regiment is dead or at least fight for a different regiment just like Henry did.
