Chapter 9

Henry feels shameful being by all these men with wounds and all the blood. He even feels envious and wishes he had a wound a noble red badge of courage. He sees a man starring off into space and realizes its his friend Jim Conkin the tall soldier. Jim tells Henry how he was shot and that he is afraid he will fall and be ran over by an artillery wagon. So Henry promises to care for him. Jim runs over by some bushes and falls to his death. Henry sees his side which looks like it was bitten by wolves and torn apart. Henry becomes livid with rage and shakes his fist towards the battle field. I really hope this is the point where Henry will man up and be brave. I wonder how many times Jim says in this chapter leave it me... it was a ton!
