Chapter 10

The tattered man is talking to Henry wondering how we got his strength for run away like he did. The tattered man is talking about he wants pea soup and how he's feelin pretty bad. Henry wonders if he is going to see another death. Tattered man says he can't die yet because he has kids. Then he mistakes Henry for his friend Tom Jamison. The tattered man tells him he needs to get his wound looked at. Henry finally gets so mad about the questioning he walks away knowing if left the soldier will die. Henry looks back and sees him wandering helplessly in the battle field. Henry hopes no one will find out about his crime. 

I didn't understand when Henry lay on the ground saying he was stabbed and his tounge lay dead. Did he mean his heart was stabbed because of Jim's death and he was speechless?? thats what i'm going to take it as. It was so to read how Henry left him and looked back.. couldn't help but feel sympathy for the tattered man.
