This is the 1st real battle chapter. Henry has a flashback form his childhood. Then comes back when the otherside is running at them. The captain is yelling to hold them back hold them back! Wait till they get close. Hold your fire till I tell you! Don't be a fool! Henry says this is when he becomes not a man but a member. He is working with all the men for a single desire. The red radge came over all them.. they are yelling and shooting during battle. The captain is killed. When they are done and the enemeies have gone back they celebrate. Henry looks around at the calm nature and doesn't understand how it can be so calm in such a devilistic site with blood and bodies everywhere.
I really like this last line.. it shows that no matter what hard circumstance your going through the world will go on as normal. Good way to look at the tough problems in your life and know everything will be ok its not the end of the world.
