Chapter 19
Wilson and Henry are shocked by what they hear the general say about the 304th regiment, and that he expect most of them to be killed in the next attack. They return to all the other men but keep it a secret of what they've heard. The general begins waving his head and they begin to charge. The men are getting exhausted and the general is yelling at them saying if they stayed they will get killed. Henry describes this as a wild blur. Which seemed like a great definition of what was going on. Henry suddenly is born a love for the flag that is near him. They see the flag holder has been killed. Henry and Wilson pry the flag out of the dead man's fingers and continue to charge.
